Distinctively Scottish, both in its intake (mainly the children of personnel who are Scottish, have served in Scotland or are part of a Scottish regiment) and in its curriculum (the Scottish exam system, and compulsory piping, drumming and Highland dancing for its youngest intake years), Queen Victoria School occupies a beautiful campus in Perthshire. Easy to reach by rail, air and road, Queen Victoria School supports both its pupils and their families, often at times of considerable stress.
This website, the related prospectus, the school magazine and – if you can manage it – a visit to the School will help you to find out more about us. As an Armed Forces boarding school, we have a very clear sense of purpose and work constantly to maintain and to improve the encouraging, supporting and – where appropriate – challenging atmosphere of our unique environment.
Boarding is not a family tradition for most of our pupils. We have a particular mission from the Ministry of Defence to look after those families who could not otherwise afford boarding education.
We hope that as much information as possible is available to you through these pages, but please do not hesitate to contact the School if you would like to find out more.
