Our latest newsletter has now been published and posted out to our supporters, or sent by email. If you do not receive the newsletter by email and would like to, please email me at catriona.yates@qvs.org.uk.

Along with our newsletter, available to download here, we have also published an up-to-date Wish List of items that we would like to purchase for the School. A donation form is on the reverse of the list if you would like to contribute financially. The MOD is very generous with it's funding but can't cover all the extras and we hope to provide these for our pupils. Please help if you are able. Donation form and Wish List available for download here.

Arising out of the Centenary Appeal Committee, the Queen Victoria School Development Office exists to build and to enhance relationships between the School and its supporters.

Described by some as “the jewel in Scotland’s crown”, Queen Victoria School holds a very special place in the hearts and minds of many, who know of its purpose and of the work it does today.

Support for the School comes in many forms, and all support is welcome. In recent times, the School Theatre has been totally refurbished and equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, thanks to donations to the Centenary Appeal Fund and to the Development Office. One particular donation was made in order to supply a semi-spring floor for the Theatre, in order to promote the School’s excellent Highland dancing. Elsewhere, an avenue of trees has been planted in the grounds, and the mature trees which stand in front of the School have been complemented with new planting, through funds raised entirely by one supporter.

Adults who can come to talk to, and with, our pupils are always welcome as part of our careers programme, or as part of the S6 dinner arrangements whereby small groups of senior pupils are invited to talk with a visitor over a leisurely candle-lit meal.

If you would like to know more about the Development Office, please download our newsletter, telephone +44 (0) 131 310 2921, Military 94745 2921 or email catriona.yates@qvs.org.uk. The Office is staffed on a part-time basis, so please leave a message if there is no-one available to answer your call.
