Queen Victoria School has its own Medical Centre, where the aim is to monitor and maintain the emotional and physical well being of every child in our care. All the below, and other information, is contained in the Medical Centre Booklet.
The Medical Centre is staffed by two full time registered nurses and a health care assistant. Pupils and staff have access to nursing advice and care 24 hours a day.
Each new pupil is registered with a doctor at the Dunblane Health Centre. He/she will remain so during their time at the school. The doctor also visits the school twice weekly.
We are a health promoting school and encourage our children to take responsibility for their health. We provide research based information and advice to ensure the children make informed and healthy lifestyle choices.
We also have the services of a school optician should you wish your child’s eye care to be continued during term time. We do not provide a dental service however if your child requires orthodontic treatment this can be easily arranged through the school orthodontist.
